Justin Choe, Psy.D.

Dr. Justin Choe is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in California (PSY 24390) and an advocate of mental health. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Psychobiology, a Master’s degree, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialized emphasis in Health. For the past 14 years, he has dedicated his clinical work in serving a broad range of patient population in the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, community clinics, hospitals, and in private practice. As the founder and former president of the Korean American Psychological Association, he launched dozens of psychoeducation campaigns in partnership with community leaders, and chaired multiple regional mental health conferences using an interdisciplinary model.

Dr. Choe is skilled in delivering mental health advocacy and psychoeducation using multimedia platforms to reach diverse audiences. He has been a newspaper columnist for Korea Times for 15 years reaching millions of readers. His expert knowledge and training in extensive treatment approaches have garnered the attention of radio and television shows where he has frequently served as an expert guest. Dr. Choe is a widely acclaimed author in South Korea. His 2014 book, “Parenting Concert” won the Sejong Outstanding Scholarly Book Award from the South Korean government and sold a record number of copies in the Self-help category.

As the Chief Clinical Officer for LooperRoom, his responsibility includes overseeing the clinical aspect of the Artificial Intelligence and to bridge the psychological skills with current and future technology.

Dr. Choe is a former competitive martial artist. In his spare times, he loves to cook, bike with his daughter, and play video games.
